CeraVe Hydrating Mineral Sunscreen with Sheer Tint SPF 30

I wear this sunscreen everyday and I love it. It feels very lightweight on my face and doesn’t have too much of an odor. I haven’t gotten burned any day that I use this!

I really rely on reviews when trying something new, and I rarely write them unless the product is remarkably great or ridiculously awful—so here it goes! Rarely do I fall in love with any sunscreen, as I usually find them irritating to my sensitive skin, heavy, or greasy. When it comes to mineral-based sunscreens, I often find them cakey and drying. Plus, most don’t work well under makeup (though I use very little makeup). However, this tinted sunscreen is incredible! It’s labeled as mineral-based, but I understand there may be some chemical sunscreens in it as well; I'm not a dermatologist or chemist, so I can’t say for sure. I’ve disliked every mineral sunscreen I’ve tried (including the highly praised Elta MD) because they completely dried out my skin.

I absolutely love this tinted sunscreen! I've nearly used it all and just placed another order to make sure I have some on hand before I run out. I use it every day and even enjoy how it looks on my face without any makeup. I've had multiple people compliment me on my skin when I’m not wearing makeup, and friends have asked if I recently had a facial. I’ve been spending more time in the sun doing yard work, and I feel like it effectively blocks harmful rays for a good amount of time before I need to reapply. Please excuse the condition of the container—it’s well-loved! I toss it in my purse and take it everywhere with me.

I’ve been searching for a replacement for IT Cosmetics CC cream since it got too expensive, and this is the best option I’ve found. Like the CC cream, it has mineral sunscreen and offers a bit of coverage as well. I really like that the coverage isn’t as heavy. I was initially worried about trying it because I have fair skin (which tends to get a few freckles but only tans slightly in the sun), and sometimes makeup can look orange on me if it’s not light enough. Fortunately, this blends nicely into my skin and provides just the right amount of coverage. On days when I have a blemish or dark circles, I do need to use concealer as well, but for a quick multitasker, it’s great! I apply it after my Minimalist Marula Oil moisturizer, and they work really well together. Overall, the combined cost of the moisturizer and this sunscreen is much cheaper than my old CC cream, and I plan to use this indefinitely.
